Plant growth is not a linear process. There is more to discover the dynamics during the growth process. At GrwNxt we take the view that AI is a powerful technology to unleash the so far undiscovered dynamics in the growing process of plants. The good news is that AI can do much more. Prediction of Functional Food Components (FFC) is one of the milestones GrwNxt made in previous research. The question we asked ourselves for this research is how intermediate testing during the growth cycle can give us more insights in the dynamics of the development of FFC. The laborious process is worth the effort, because the ability to generate proprietary data combined with the knowledge of AI modelling show that GrwNxt is able to come with predictions of FFC with high probability and precision.

2025

We jump to the future with AI for precise, accelerated targeting of desired nutritional outcomes, sidestepping the need for GMOs or gene editing. Our approach is smarter, faster, and with far more perspective for personalized food while respecting the integrity of the plant and its environment. This report dives into how we apply Gen-AI models throughout the plant growth cycle—not just at harvest, but also during crucial intermediate stages.

2024

Our Al team, in close collaboration with the plant physiologists, has reached a new milestone. This is a unique milestone. With our Al we are able to make accurate predictions of Functional Food Components (FFC) values. The great advantage of this breakthrough is that we can do this in a non-invasive and non-destructive way, with real-time results.

Insight in the nutritional content of the food we eat is the first step towards healthy living. At GrwNxt we are very happy to know we make an Al-driven contribution to the healthy food revolution.

2024

With Al we are able to succesfully predict healthy functional food components (FFC) in crops. We used advanced hyperspectral imaging technologies in combination with large-scale empirical testing as outlined in our latest report Hyperspectral Imaging Technology and Al for non-invasive detection and prediction of Functional Food Components. The resulting large dataset enables us to jump to an incredible increase and optimization of DDR®.

2023

GrwNxt is highlighting the unique Dynamics at the core of our innovative work in our latest publication The ‘D’ of Dynamics in DDR® unraveled for Growing as a Service. This revolutionary approach is applied to optimize the healthy functional food components in crops that grow inside the GrwNxt Module. Healthy food starts with healthy content: vitamins, proteins, vitamins and taste. Thanks to our deep learning technologies we can incorporate dynamics in the growing process to optimize nutritional values. Unlike greenhouses and vertical farms we can restrict resource usage and do not need transport or storage, contributing to CO2-saving.

GrwNxt is Building Milestones for the Real New Thing. As a disruptive deep learning company, GrwNxt is proud to present our newest Research Report. Focusing on Dynamic Imaging technology and Sensors GrwNxt is building milestones and showing it’s unique process of ultra-precision growing. Applying our DDR® technology in remote controlled, on-site growth modules enables us to live our motto: Nurturing Natural Nutrition.

A book of pictures says more than a thousand words. Therefor, GrwNxt has created a photobook of impressions of the GrwNxt Module in different on-site locations. The GrwNxt Module has a modular, sustainable and reusable construction.
We put the GrwNxt Module in the spotlight because it is an attraction in itself. Any high-end hotel, hospital, airport, campus, or office-building with high-care for sustainability and a healthy diet can shine with a GrwNxt Module. You practice what you preach.

2021

GrwNxt published The Real New Thing: Deep Learning & Plant Science for DDR® in Indoor Fresh Food Production. In this research we tested the application of deep learning technologies (AI, ML) in combination with plant science to develop Dynamic Digital Recipes (DDR®) for a series of crops. The aim of this research is to find and leverage novel ways to optimize the amount of food components (vitamins, proteins and minerals) in fresh greens to stimulate a healthy diet for millions of people.

2020

GrwNxt has published a research report on The New New Thing in Indoor Fresh Food Production in Megacities. This publication includes multiple feasibility reports and deep dives into the GrwNxt concept, adressable markets and the preliminary effects of covid-19 on global food systems.
